Newburgh Swim Club COVID-19 FAQ (Last updated May 25th, 2021)
We have created this page to answer many of the questions we have been receiving from members as we approach the upcoming season at Newburgh. Keep in mind that the season is still several months away from the time many of the decisions below were made. We will continue to update this with new information as things change.
Q: When will the pool open this season?
A: We are opening Memorial Day weekend.
Q: How will the Board ensure the safety and health of the members and staff.
A: We will be following state and local guidelines for cleaning as well as wearing face coverings while in the clubhouse.
Q: Will the number of people at the club be limited?
A: Yes. We are currently limiting the number of members to be 300 at one time. However, we will not be using the reservation system we did last year.
Q: When are membership payments due?
A: Payments were due on March 30th, 2021. If you have not submitted your payment and do not plan on selling your bond please make your payment ASAP. Please submit your payments ($570 for most family memberships) to the following address:

Q: Will there be a Swim Team this season?
A: YES! The Newburgh Sharks will be having a season this summer. The meet schedule will be a bit modified to minimize the number of people at each meet. 10 and under swimmers will have meets on Tuesday evenings and 11 and older swimmers will have meets on Thursday. If you are interested in joining the team please fill out THIS FORM and our Swim Team Directors will be in contact with more information on the season. There will be a parents meeting Sunday June 6th. 2pm for parents of 10 and under swimmers and 3pm for swimmers 11-18.
Q: Will I be able to bring guests?
A: Yes. Currently we are allowing up to 15 guests per membership each day beginning June 7th. As the season progresses and as attendance guidelines change we will continue to evaluate our guest policy
Q: When will I be able to register for a Group Party?
A: Yes. Group parties of 16-50 people are allowed Monday – Friday (except on Swim Meet days ).
Q: Are we going to have the Annual 4th of July Member’s Party.
A: Yes. The party will have lots of fun and games. We have chosen not to serve food at this year’s party but the grills will be open for members to prepare their own food.
